What is a pinhole wash?

title is self explanatory.  I would just like to know.

I presume you mean a "pin" wash? If so, it refers to applying a wash precisely to select areas, such as along edges,corners, weld lines, panel lines, etc. as opposed to a general wash that covers the whole surface.
