Campbell Hausfeld 2-Gallon 100 PSI Compressor for $63

I have one similar to that too. I found out last night that it was broken. It lasted the better part of 4 years I think, maybe a little longer. It was great, and I'm probably going to get another one... Just have to watch the prices now I guess.

It's reassuring that they can be had for so cheap. I was a little fearful that I would be out $100+ dollars for a new one, as it seems that was about how much I paid for mine, although I cannot remember for sure.

Lowes has good return policy. You will need a room that is far away from your work area to put the Campbell Hausfeld and pipe the air in. The compressor is noisy. You can return it if it does not work out.

I found a few other brands of shop compressor that are better made and less noisy than the Campbell Hausfeld. They are Dewalt, Senco and Maxus. See my post on my upgrade experience.

I found that you will need about 3-4 CFM at 90 psi to do useful household work. The 0.4 SCFM at 90 psi for the Campbell Hausfeld FP2095 compressor is plenty of air for the airbrush. But it will be of no use for nailing, stapling or frame trimming etc.

Looks like a fabulous deal. They're noisy, but they work. I bet the one I have is the same compressor, only on a 3 gallon "pancake" tank. It's now 3 years old and going strong.

For that price you could buy two and stash one away!
