leaks
Posted by Wozniak on Sunday, January 25, 2009 7:18 PM

i have a badger 155 anthem, i've had it for several years and never ran into any problems with it till now and im stumped.

i have air leaking out of several places on the brush and its killing the pressure coming out the front of the gun.  the leaks are where the valve body meets the main housing. and between the air cap body and the main body.  ive cleaned everything to make sure that nothing was stuck anywhere and checked all the components in the valve to make sure that the leak wasnt in all those small pieces (i touch tested the air without the valve on and with the valve on and they felt fine).  ive tried using teflon tape to close the seal but that didnt make any differnece in the pressure coming out the front of the gun.

the o-ring is missing but im not sure if that would cause all the leaks

any ideas?

If you know that your air brush is missing an o-ring, the obvious suggestion is to put in a new one.

You shouldn't need Teflon tape.  If the O ring in the air valve is missing you need to replace it. If you're not sure about the repair, you might want to contact Badger.  They have very good customer support.
