Clear coats usually have to be thinned just as you would thin any other color from the same brand. Gloss paints do tend to be thicker than flat paints however so they may need a bit more thinner. Just practice on something other than your model until you are comfortable with the paint/thinner ratio.

Airbrushing gloss and matt cote

Hi,

I just bought the Humbrol gloss and matt cotes, and I have a doubt regarding airbrushing them. Should I mix them up with thiner as for the colours? if yes, is it the same ration (2/3, 1/3) as for the enamel Revell colours?

 Thank you for your help
