Why Doesn't Testors Offer 1/2 oz. Primer Bottles Anymore?

I just got my Testors white 1/2 oz. primer.  It is indeed enamel but it is the Boyd brand which I believe is affiliated with Testors.  I ordered from the Testors car & truck section but the brand I got was Boyd.  Since I've never seen them offer white 1/2 oz. primer in the car & truck section before, this makes some sense to me.

That's pretty much what I do.  For models I only use primer if I really need it especially so I don't build up too much paint and ruin surface detail.

I also paint miniatures with enamels and it's really nice to have that bottle of primer that you can apply with a brush.

To find 1/2 oz. bottles of primer you have to go to the top left under "Shop by project", then select "Model Car Projects", then select "car and truck enamel paint", and then "primer".

Go to Testors website and find "Car and Truck Enamel Paint".  Then click on "Primers".  

I just ordered a bottle of white so probably next week I can verify if it truly is a white enamel primer. 

This might be a new product as in the past I've only been able to find gray primer in the 1/2 oz. bottle in the auto section.

I figured that their new website was the cause of the missing primer.  Is there a white enamel primer?  I know they make a white acrylic primer but I've never heard of a white enamel primer.

I just got a reply from Testors and they said their new website is still under development but they are still making the 1/2 oz. bottles of gray and white primer

I contacted Testors last night but have not heard from them yet.  Perhaps because today's a holiday?

Their primers are hard to find on their new website.  Before, you could find the 1/2 oz. primer under the automotive enamels.  To even find the spray can primer you now have to do a special search on their new website.  I didn't notice any primers in their regular listings.

If I hear from Testors I'll let you know what they say,

I noticed that too.  Have you tried emailing the company?  They're pretty good about answering emails.  Personally, I don't care for Testor's enamel primer.  I love their paints and use them exclusively, but I just don't like their primer.  It doesn't sand very well and always seems at little glossy or satin to me.  I think Tamiya's spray can primer is great but has to be decanted for airbrush work.

Let me know if you'll be contacting Testors.  If not, I will.
