All Tamiya paints except the metallics are very freeze-thaw tolerant. The metallics are definitely not.

Patsfan,

Did you lose power and heat during the ice storm?

Metallics are the exception to the long age rule because of peculiarities of metallic pigments. It sounds like it has passed its service life.

Has your jar of paint been exposed to extreme heat or cold? I would be surprised if it's simply an age thing, because I have some jars of Tamiya paint in the 20-25 years old range which are still perfectly usable.
