The only thing I'd add is that the VL is a double-action airbrush, which means you push down on the trigger for air flow, then pull back on the trigger for paint flow.

It takes a bit more practice to master, but it's worth the effort.  Just be aware that there's a bit of a learning curve involved, but it soon becomes second nature in use.

I learned on a paasche VL. A nice AB to learn on, but compared to the Iwata I use now it isnt that good. But with all the tips it is very versatile and effective. The one thing I like about the VL is the stopper. It stops the paint flow, making it act like a single stage. The Iwata the stopper will stop the pullback, but it acts like a 2 stage up to the stopper. This makes the Paasche easier to use. The paasche does tear down really easily though and everything is cheaper.

I will say as a used price, the one you quoted isnt so good. Sounds pretty close to retail here. Prices may be higher in Alaska though.

Thanks for the help everyone.  Got a question about compressors now.  I got an email back from the guy and he said that he only used for a couple months but didn't like the effect that it gave him(he paints glass) so it's just been sitting in the closet.  I assume(and we sometimes know where that gets us) that because it's an oiless system that it shouldn't effect it that much if it has been sitting for so long.  What's everybodies opinion.  I don't want to buy this and then have to spend the money for a new one in a year.  Thanks a bunch.

P.S.  I'm not paying the 135 he is asking so I feel that based off of what you guys tell me it will be a pretty good deal and I'm going for it.

ABout the compressor, I have a Badger compressor that I think is similar to the Paasche D500, and Lord knows I have had more than a few spells during which I have gone several months without painting, and have had no worries.

Well after discovering that the compressor he was selling 10 years old and the brush had a bent no. 1 needle(i know they can be replaced) and he wouldn't go lower than 125 I just went to the local hobby store and got the VL, it was on sale for $75 and I got a military discount so I paid $64. Me and the wife then scooted down to a local paint store and bought a D500 compressor but when I took it home I tried to put the regulator and filter on and it wouldn't fit.  I looked at the box and it said old style.  By this time I'm P'd off to no end.  After futher "discusion" with the keeper of the money we hauled butt over to Lowes and bought a Porter Cable compressor with a 5 gal tank.  Figured it was more practicle and I live in Base Housing so I don't care about noise I just hope it doesn't scare the crap out of me when it kicks on..  Thanks to everybody and not making this a Tiger I redo post.  I love this place.

Viper- Thanks for the shout out.  I'm pretty humble guy and I don't feel any different then the guy who bust his butt everyday(I look at this forum during work).  Everybody has there place and I thank them for that.  I'm in the military simply because I love my country and this is the best/only way I know how.  It does make me hold my head up and stick my chest out everytime some says something like you did.  I also joined for Job Security . After 8 years in the Marines and a little over 2 in the Army(yeah I know Devildogs I'll haze myself later). I can't complain.  It's been good to me.

Husky- Simple answer on Military discount is when you go to say a local hobby shop and you buy something and ask for military discount usually they give you 10% off your purchase just for serving in the military.  Just as a way of saying thanks.  I usually don't ask cause they usually know from the haircut. 

Really now...  USA and Europe do indeed have different public opinion when it comes to the Military...

First off, it may be because off the several thousand long was history of Europe..

 Anywho, I finally sat down and used the AB for the first time and man was it fun.  Paint was falling everywhere even out of the bottle and all over my new workbench and all over my hands.  I messed around a little bit and sprayed the inside of the hull and was just amazed how fine of a line it was spraying.  I then got distracted and started playing with a piece of cardboard messing with distances and the trigger action.  Man I'm all pumped up write now.  I did how ever take it apart and then had to google video how to put it back together but now I know.  Thanks everybody for the advice.  You guys rock!!!!
