I've been experimenting with both armor and aircraft on the order in which I wash and weather my kits. I've been using mostly acrylic paints for base coats, so my question to the forumi is:
What is the best order for laying down washes and weathering?
The way I currently do it is: acrylic base coat, oil wash with turpinoil or mineral spirits, gloss/future for decals and then weather with ground chalk followed by dull cote.
Would it be better if I gloss/dull cote before washing? or is that unnecessary? Should I dullcote before weathering with chalks for better grip? What are some of the forums order of applying washes and weathering. Would like to see if others methods/order work better.
