Humbrol 163 is listed as a satin finish (semi-gloss) - sanding it won't help.

If the application so far hs been satisfactory (ie. smooth, streak free etc) and the only issue is that it's glossy, I'd suggest perservering with it and then apply an overall spray-can flat coat when finished. (remember to mask your clear parts)

And yes, I know the answer to this is going to be 'get an airbrush', but finances are a bit tough at the moment....

Building a mirage at the moment, and after applying humbrol 163 (dk green) it has gone on as gloss, not matt, eek! The model looks horrible, and I spent a lot of time filling this awful kit, so want to rescue it. Can I use wet & dry to get rid of the gloss?

Cheers for any help, and not wanting to repeat what is no doubt a regular question, can someone point me to an earlier thread for beginners airbrushes? No more than 100GBP, pref including compressor if possible!
