Thank's Gip .

I did a bit of a search on a few online hobby stores and found an image of the Sparmax spray booth already assembled and like you suggest it does appear that the thin metal frame does face inwards . There is stensilling along the edge of the screen but no arrows that I could see to indicate which way it should face .

I greatly appreciate the help , thanks again .

John,

Nice setup!  Looks like you have a great place to put together some nice stuff.  How about coming to my place and do some organizing for me?  My modeling room looks like a tornado came through---three or four times!

In regards to the filter--and I have a 50/50 chance of being right--I think the metal mesh is in place to keep the filter material from being sucked into the airstream.  So I think yours may be positioned backwards.  Having said that, on one edge of the filter there is usually an arrow which indicates airflow direction; look for that and position the filter accordingly.

All the best

I bought a Sparmax indoor spray booth

 Hi everyone ,

I recently purchased a Sparmax indoor spray booth . I have been airbrushing my Helicopter and fighter jet kits up in the garage these past 5 years ; But with my workbench located upstairs in the house , it was always a little frustrating walking up and down the stairs and then outside , up to the garage , many times daily .

I was able to wrangle some more work space in a spare back room of the house to set up my spray booth , even though this additional work space is down stairs from my main work area , at least everything is indoors now .

I was wondering one thing about the Sparmax spray booth , the large filter screen that fits inside the booth has a thin metal screen with large holes , I'm not sure which side of the screen should face outwards ?

I also added some shelving above the door and around the wall for storing my unbuilt kit collection

Everything is set-up ready to go , I'm looking forward to my first attempt at indoor airbrushing .

                                                 Kind regards John .
