What's the difference between Testors Dull Cote (Part #: 1260) and Testors Model Master Lacquer Overcoat Clear Flat Finish (Part#: 1960)?

I thought 1260 was a flat enamel clear coat while 1960 was a flat lacquer clear coat, but the 1260 can says Dull Cote is a lacquer, too.

I got an answer from Testors and they basically said there's no substantive difference except that the clearcoast 1960 is "higher grade" than the 1260 clearcoat.  I guess this is a parallel to comparing Model Masters flat black to regular Testors flat black.

I've wondered this question myself.  So, I bought a bottle of each to test them.  In my opinion, the 1260 is thicker in the bottle than 1960.  It also seems to me that the 1260 is more "flat" than the 1960.  Then again, that could be due to mixing ratios or just because they're different batches.  Overall, I like the 1260 better.
