I've found that where you buy them sort of depends on what brand you want. For example, Red Frog Hobbies is good for Humbrol, for Gunze and Vallejo there is Michigan Toy Soldier, and when I need just Testors or Tamiya I might order from House of Hobbies in Burbank (great customer service!) Lots of places out there - I'm sure everyone has their favorites, and I try to use the samller vendors when I can. That said, Tower Hobbies and Internet Hobbies get plenty of my money too.
