Stik, will Mr. Color attack the styrene when it is applied without a primer coat?

Gunze's Mr Color thinner is the only stuff I have found so far that works with their Mr Color line of paints for cleaning and thinning. Enamel thinner and alcohol have not worked one bit.

If you're referring to the "Aqueous Thinner", it's not compatible with Mr Color paints. The Aqueous Thinner is similar to Tamiya acrylic thinner (X-20A) and is formulated to suit the aqueous acrylic range.

Mr Color paints are "lacquer" based and should be thinned with "Mr Color" thinner ("Mr Color" printed in yellow on a blue background) I'm not sure if Mr Color is compatible with generic hardware store variety lacquer thinners, but it's said that Mr Color thinner is a less aggressive blend which is styrene friendly , whereas most "hardware store" lacquer thinners will melt styrene very readily.

Within each range, the numbers on the jars (eg. 110, 250, 400) simply represent the volume contained (eg. 110ml) and do not represent a different formulation of the product.

GSI Creos (new name for Gunze Sangyo as of a couple of years ago) has ceased the export of their water-based paint to the US. Mr. Color thinner is the correct thinner for Mr. Color paint.

Gunze Sangyo Acrylics

I'm a big fan of Gunze aqueous  water based acrylic paints and recently ordered some. I received Mr Color solvent based acrylics. I've heard that Gunze was renovating their line, so I wasn't too surprised when I received the substitutes. My question is will Mr Color thinner work with these solvent based acrylic paints and if not - what does ???  I don't care to mess up my airbrus in the attempt to find out, so any info would be appreciated.   Thanks
