old "back in the day " technique to paint glass...what was the name of the product???/

Years ago when iPMS USA put out the orange softcover How to Buld Scale Plstic Models with the A 6E on the cover, there was a tip in there on how to paint glass using a stained glass paint. I ran into a guy the other day at the LHS that stopped bulding about the time that book was printed and he used the same product.  Now, I have a need to try this product and so far regular Tamiya clear just isnt cutting it.  I think the product was called GreatGlass or Fantastic Glass or some such and was used for making tail light lenses prior to the Model Master products hitting the shelves.

Can anyone look this tip up in thier old book? I donated mine years ago. Just goes to show that old techniques are not always outdated!

thanks in advance!!

David

Dunno if this's the stuff you're talking about since I don't have the book anymore (haven't seen it in about 20 years and two ex-wives, lol) but a quick Google search turned this stuff up:

thanks, similar but not the same, the product may not be made anymore. i tried this stuff my wife has it for a project she was doing and it wasn't what I had hoped.

I googled, Go.com'ed, infoseek'ed, yahoo'd (love the adverbs!) and Ask'ed to no avail.

Thanks for the reply!!!
