Since you have already bought it, probably no point to worrying about how good it is or is not. Azteks typically engender very strong opinions. People seem to either swear by them or swear at them. After mine up and died for no apparent reason, I fell into the group that swears at them.
On the other hand, as long as it doesn't break, it will paint perfectly well and do as good of a job as any other airbrush. Compared to brush painting or rattle can painting, any airbrush should be a major step up.
I have two recommendations. 1) Fill out the warranty registration card. 2) Read all read all the cleaning and care instructions and follow them religiously. Mine still died in spite of my having done that, but I have to believe that doing so would statistically increase the chances of your Aztek working well for you.
