My Peak C-5 is due for a complete overhaul. The usual spraying/bubbling of thinner doesn't cut it anymore. The spray pattern has become very anemic and the trigger doesn't respond like it should.
I know how to remove the needle and clean it but not much more beyond that. Bear Air says if I ship them the airbrush they will overhaul it for me and send it back "like new" but I don't know if I want to do it.
If anybody has web links to tutorials on cleaning this particular airbrush please let me know. I'm especially curious how to remove part #3 (see exploded drawing) to see what kind of gunk is behind it. I can't unscrew this part, it feels fuzed with the body
Some dude online wrote "oh, you just take the whole thing apart and let the pieces soak in brake fluid for 3-4 days and it will be as good as new". Do you agree?
