Microscale gloss question and regulator question?
Posted by saltydog on Thursday, December 11, 2003 9:58 PM
I have pulled a bone head stunt as i am a beginner. i know there are other people out there that have that overwhelming, almost irresistable temptation to pull off the masking on thier canopies just to see how it turned out. well, i succumbed to the temptation before i applied the gloss coat so i could apply the decals and wash. i can't remask because i used model master non buffing aluminum for airbrush only and if you even so much as breathe on this stuff it lifts. i have applied metalizer sealer over the canopy, but can you apply microscale gloss or future with an airbrush over the canopy without any adverse effects?

another question i have, is there such thing as a digital air regulator or am i trying to get too scientific? i found a 1 gallon campbell hausfeld air compressor about 6 months ago when i got back into this hobby for $40.00 so i bought it. the regulator doesn't seem to be very accurate though. if not digital, how about reccomending one that is accurate please. thank you for your time.

ps. i hope my old english teacher doesn't log on!!!!Disapprove [V]
