Using Vallejo Model Color paints for airbrushing ?

I have been informed by my local supplier of Vallejo Paints that it is possible to airbrush with the Model colour range of Vallejo paints, although I haven't tried it myself yet.

I was advised that the colour would need to thinned to a consistency suitable for airbushing using distilled water. You can also obtain a Vallejo thinner (524) although I believe this could be an expensive way of thinning the paint as it comes in the same size bottle as the paint.

If you go ahead and airbrush please post the results as I would be happy to read it.

the Vallejo colors can be airbrushed. But you can't use the same thinners you should use for the tamiya paint. I personally use distilled water with a little detergent Or sometimes I use acrylic thinner bought in a local art shop wich specialyse in airbrush techniques. Mind you when the Vallejo paint is use you must prime the model first with a acrylic primer . I had teh expericience that when the paint is used straight on the plastic that the adherence is bad however when a primer( any flat color from tamiya or model master or something like that) they will perform quite good.
