Paint charts

Here are a few more color matching charts.

Not as nice as some of the other charts but they might be useful.

Note: These are for the acrylic craft paints you find in Walmart, Hobby Lobby, Michaels, etc.

like Apple Barrell, Creamcoat etc.

Also note it does not include any of the modelling paint Model Master, Tamiya, Citidel, etc.

   Thanks for the links...I'll be sure and read them tonight. I know what you're talking about with the Blue P-38's, yet as far as the Blue color is concerned, (for this kit anyway), what they are talking about is just the propeller hubs on the "Droop Snoot Bomba-Dear" version to be painted "medium blue", with the caps in red.

   If I liked guys like that, I'd kiss you! I thought there was a site like this (well...this site actually), but for some reason, I didn't keep it. This is what I've been looking for. It doesn't have the "medium blue" listed in my kit...but that's okay. I just used that color as an example, but having the majority of color names w/numbers is all I wanted. Thanks a bunch.

P.S. - Oh, and please don't be offended by the whole "I don't like you like that". It's not personal, and I'm sure you're a fine looking man and all.   

Blue P-38's usually mean the photo-recon F-5's in haze paint.

   The Color Match 1.0 is nice...thanks for the suggestion. (I just wish they had Revell.) I wish someone would make a cross ref. chart that included all the major brands, as well as their respective names/numbers, etc. I'll be sure to check out the Modelmadness site as well.

   I hear what you're saying as far as it being my project and all...and I agree. Yet I feel that when a company as big as Revell lists a paint color(s) recommendation(s) on the box/instructions, etc. They could list the corresponding number as well to help cross ref. brands, or even purchase their own product correctly. 

   I even went to the Revell web site, and perhaps I missed it, yet I couldn't find "Medium Blue" listed anywhere. So why would they list it in the kits instructions simply as "Medium Blue", wanting people to buy/use their own brand of paint...and yet not even tell you what "Medium Blue" is on their own site? (Am I making any sense here?)

   In fact Tommie listed in his response to me (Thank you Tommie btw), the "paint4models" site...that I had already looked at. And although it seems like a good site, I can't find anything for Revell listed as Medium Blue along with their color number there either? (I may be using it wrong, but then again?) Also, I keep using the "Medium Blue" from Revell as an example...but I'm having trouble with most of their colors as well.

   So I thank you guys for your sugestions, as they are all useful. Yet in parting...does anyone know of a list anywhere that just lists Revells own color names along with their own color numbers?

It can be hard to find complete paint charts, look around and compare several sites to eachother to find the best matchup.

First off, don't take it so seriously.  It's your model.  You can paint it pink if you want, as long as you like the way it looks.

Here is a website that will help compare colors between brands, but it doesn't list Revell. 

Another approach is to do some research on the real plane.  Or, do a Google on P-38 reviews and see what others have used.  This site has a lot of build articles.
