1 more homemade spray booth to look at

that is a good idea . tell me what kind of blower you used and what cfm is it. i have a old wall cabinet that i just may convert to a spray booth.

The blower is a Dayton shaded pole blower rated at 265 cfm, modle # 4C447

For 20 bucks and some other odds & ends you got a cool Booth there WTG !

That's the exact blower motor I bought about 5 years ago from Grainger.  I still have yet to build my spray booth though.  What metal work did you use to attach the outlet port to the flexible hose?  This is where I was stuck.  Making a box is straight forward but I have yet to devise an connection solution to the hose.

When I got mine online they sold adaptors that is a plate with holes to mount it to the blower housing with a tube.  You can see it in pic 5.  1 for the inlet and 1 for the outlet.

Any chance you have the website and part number information for those adaptors?

I had a feeling you would ask that. I have been trying to find the receipt ofr the stuff.  I know I have it, it is just a matter of where it is.

Right after I posted this responce I thought to add "hydroponics" to the Google search and came up with this. I think it might even be the palce I got mine from a couple of years ago.  I used 2 of these in my set up.

 Thanks for the info and glad you were able to recall the website.  At $9.95 that seems better than attempting to fabricate something.

I was wondering the same thing.

Great idea though! Seal up that filter, add the light you mentioned and you have a winner. I really like the extra shelf up top for storage. It'd be really cool if you could leave the doors in place, close them when done spraying and use it as a drying booth also. And the doors could help contain vapors and guide them into the booth while spraying larger items that don't fit inside.

Gerald, HK... You can't just look at the pictures.  This is not Playboy

My 1st post mentions the filter needed to be blanked off. I just never got around to taking a pic.  Both issues are taekn care of.  1 with a couples of pieces of 1/4" balsa and the other with a camera.  HK, I left to doors on for that very reason.

I admittedly skimmed over the text. Looks like a winner and makes me want to ditch my current booth and build another like yours.

Nice set up.

I've been looking to build a booth and this seems the simplest and least expensive.

As a bonus I work at Target so it's not a extra trip to the store.
