Question about hoses/adapters

Well I finally gave in and got a Paasche VL airbrush for X-mas.... but the question I have is, I have a Sparmax mini compressor.... I bought a 10fft braided hose for my Paadche airbrush, but it doesn't fit on the compressor. Can you guys offer advice/help? Is there and adapter I can get?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. ^_^

Go to a hardware store and find an adaptor.
The fitting on the compressor is most likely a standard 1/8" or 1/4" NPT pipe fitting and the fitting on the end of the airbrush hose is a 1/4" NPT fitting. Can you remove the fitting on the compressor and take it with you to the hardware store?

Just go to your local hardware store that sells compressors and buy an adapter. If this compressor is small, (as it sounds Smile [:)]

) then take it with you and show the people there. They will get you the right fitting.

Hi there thank you for your response. The fitting on the compressor is 1/8" while the fitting on the hose is 1/4" Do you happen to have a picture of what adapter I would need to get or even the brand?? that would help greatly. ^_^

If the fitting on the compressor is a male fitting then you need a 1/4" male by 1/8" female gas fitting like this:

The brand does not matter.
Do you have a Lowe's or Home Depot near you?
They would have them.

Yes, the fitting on the compressor is a male fitting and the hose is female. I have both a Lowes and a Home Depot by me. ^_^

What is the view on using quick release fittings? My work area is not exactly permanent, and having quick release valves would make break down much easier. I can't think of a reason whey they would cause a problem.

Quick release fittings are fine, although they do tend to leak after a while.
