You have to wait for the future to completely cure. If you don’t, then you can run into all sorts of problems down the road including “orange peel” and spider web like fine cracking. Some times this stuff doesn’t show up for days or weeks after the build is done. I’m not a chemist, so I can’t explain exactly way bad things happen if you don’t wait for the future to dry, but it’s true.

If you’re impatient (like me) I try to build several models at once - Each at different stages so I always have a project to work on while one is drying.

First off let me welcome you to the forum! Sign - Welcome [#welcome]

Ok, now I have not used future as of yet though I have a few containers of it as well. However Swanny, a fellow member here has an excellent tutorial on his home page which can be found in his signature, and Im sure he will happen across this and make a post in here. Be sure to check out his site and "The Complete Future"....it's an invaluable resource.

Confused about clear coats, what should I do?
Posted by Anonymous on Tuesday, December 30, 2003 9:39 AM
I have a massive thing of future floor polish and a spray can of testors dull coat, is there anything I should know before I start using them on models? The one thing I haven't really tried out in modeling is the use of clear coats and I've always told myself I would test them out on one of my models but I'm too scared that I'll ruin one of em!! Is there anything I should do before using eather of them like mask the canopy? Should I use a coat of future floor polish before putting on decals, followed by a dull coat? If someone could help instruct me on this I would be very glad!
