Will Isopropyl Alchohol Affect Enamels?
Posted by djrost_2000 on Thursday, February 11, 2010 7:09 PM

I've been painting those teeny-weeny cannons for the Revell HMS Victory and I left the barrel ends unpainted so I'd have a gripping handle while painting the rest.  Today I cleaned the barrel ends with isopropyl alchohol because I gripped them with my fingers.  Some of the alchohol got on parts that were painted and I'm just a little concerned it might have an effect.  From what I've read Isopropyl can help remove latex paint, but can it also affect enamel?
