Pactra Laquers

I'm not sure what you've actually got. Is it one of the lacquers for RC bodies? If that's the case I'm not sure if it's suitable for use on styrene, as these are formulated for use on polycarbonate. I would expect that if applied thinly in multiple coats it wouldn't have any detrimental effect on the styrene.  

BUT: The R/C paints are meant to be applied on the inside of the R/C bodyshells and the gloss is imparted by the shell itself. In my experience with R/C paints, typically they have an eggshell finish and are not glossy when dry.

I haven't used any of their aerosols but if it's the RC paint that Phil mentioned I've used the bottled versions. The paint worked fine but I had primed and shot a basecoat. I have several but the only ones I've actually used were candy red and purple and I've drained the clear off their silver and gold flake paints to reuse. Both the candies turned out very glossy but I clear coated them anyway. I reduced them with lacquer thinner, Mr Color with the red and generic with the purple. On one or the other I used their thinner too but they all seemed about the same.

Don't know if that's relevant or not. I don't know how hot their paint would be out of a can. But the paint itself worked fine for me. It does build up thicker than a lacquer will though. Almost as thick as enamel. I'd test it on something first.
