While that is true and I would agree that Dixie is about the cheapest place all around I would not neglect either Coast Airbrush or BearAir also.
If you want expert service then go with Coast Airbrush, as none of the other's have anywhere near the knowledge of airbrushes and compressors that Coast Airbrush has. Steve and his staff at BearAir are also very good and have great customer service.
The prices of Coast Airbrush and BearAir are also competitive with Dixie, they just don't have free shipping.

During my military career I lived in LA and shoped in there store. I doubt that you will encounter any problems from Dixie art. I had excellant service and met some really nice people that worked there. I just ordered a new Revolution air brush last night from them.

I can only agree with the others that Dixie Art is the best I have found yet for materials. I've delt with them twice, the second was last week and their service and CSR is top notch. I bought an Omni 4000g airbrush from them last week and my credit card was declined (It was a PayPal credit card and I learned that that card is only a (now cut up) debit card. The CSR called immediately and we had the charge transferred to a real card in one minute on their toll free number.

I'd recommend Dixie.

I would also consider Coast Airbrush. http://coastairbrush.com/
Although they are not quite as cheap on some things as Dixie or Bear Air, they have the kind of expert service you will never get from the others.

Cant say enough good things about Dixie Art. Havent dealt with Bear Air as of yet, but Ive heard equally good things about them though. Bottom line, go with who ever is cheapest and remember to factor shipping into the equation....I dont think you could go wrong with either one.

Ditto with maddfinga. I bought my Paasche VL set from them and saved myself $70 over what I would have paid locally!! Excellent customer service, free shipping and I got my airbrush in 5 days. Highly recommended!

I've bought from them and from bear air. Both have good prices but on some products bear air is cheaper possibly cancelling out dixie's free shipping. I would check the prices of what you want to buy (and factor in where you live if you're impatient) then decide where to go.

I bought my airbrush from them and found them to be great. It only took a few days to get here, their customer service was excellent and prices good. Free shipping and no sales tax, what more can you ask?
