Air Brush Question: iwata Eclipse HP-CS
Posted by Shipwreck on Monday, March 22, 2010 10:31 AM

I have a new iwata Eclipse HP-CS. I have had it for several weeks and I am very satisfied with it. There is a cover with a small hole in it that fits over the paint cup. Does anyone have any idea of what it is for, and how it is to be used? If it is to prevent spills, then you will not be able to see the paint level.

Thank you.

It is a spill guard and the hole allows air to enter the cup to prevent the cup from vapor locking. I rarely use mine, probably why I have spills on the floor in front of my paint booth. Whistling

If you want to see the paint level, but not to spill like Gerald did, a small piece of Saran wrap bollowed from the kitchen will work very well for you.

True it is used to prevent spill as and as Gerald said I never use mine either.

A gravity feed airbrush like the Badger Patriot 105 does not have to be more than 1/2 full to paint so leave the cap off unless you are absent minded and spill things easily. Wink
