Depends on how heavy that last coat was. With a low around 50, I'd give it no less than 24 full hours, or even wait 48 to be safe.

The ambient temperature outdoors really plays no part in the curing time unless that is where you do your painting. Regardless, Ross is right, 24-48 hours is sound advice. You might want to wet sand between coats to get a nice consistent coat of paint.

Thanks for your information, gentlemen. I plan one more coat of glossy black then intend to follow the advice of Pat Covert's article "Polished to Perfection" in the October 2000 issue of FSM to make the Blackbird really shine. Realistically the model should be finished in a flat black, but it looks so good in glossy I will keep it that way.
