Also Tamiya makes polishing paste in 3 grades. I use it on airliners. Gloss white has got to be about the hardest colour to spray!

Hey Hawkeye what is this polishing stick you speak of? I have no idea what you are talking about.

I forgot to mention other alternatives.  Auto body polish or cleaner is an alternative.  Some folks use toothpaste. Others make a paste out of baking soda.  Some of the better hardware stores (a real hardware store, not a home appliance/building material store) carry buffing/polishing compounds, but many of these use a wax body that must be avoided if you think you might need any further painting.

Woodworking shops may carry pumice stone powder which some folks use.  Again, you make a paste by adding some water.

A couple of companies make polishing cloths or sponge pads, with very fine abrasives.  These are nice because they can be used on curved surfaces very easily.  Some come in sets of various grades, down to, I believe, like 20,000.

I am wondering what the best polishing or buffing compound would be for color sanding.
