Spray/brush Painting Yellow & White
Posted by joemod2 on Friday, April 30, 2010 11:15 AM

How do you properly apply yellow or white spray/brush paint without it looking transparent. I have tried thin coating in layers and also priming first, but it still looks as if the under layment shows through. i always end up with an awfully thick paint job that does not  let the detail  show through.

Hi joemod, and welcome to the forums. Welcome Sign

The yellow painting challenge has come around several times in the past. You can use the "Search Our Community" box to the right with a few key words like "yellow primer airbrush" etc. Here is one to get you started: /forums/p/4908/36892.aspx#36892

Had to do the same research myself recently in preparation for painting my first "yellow wings" plane, a P-26 Peashooter. Plenty of good suggestions out there.

Good luck!
