paint call-outs?
Posted by CallSignOWL on Saturday, May 8, 2010 11:49 AM

When a kit calls for numbers such as 140, 85, 116, and 127, are they refering to Humbrol? or what? it does not give any color manes, just the numbers.  Any help would be appriciated!

Thanks!

Depends on who the manufacturer is.  Tamiya usually calls for Tamiya paints, Revell kits sometimes call for Testors, ans so on.

And that's IF the manufacturer calls out certain paint companies.  Not all kits do call for a certain paint

Depends on the manufacturer. The numbers you quote certainly sound like they correspond to Humbrol. They should say somewhere on the instructions.

So long folks!
