As long as the enamel is fully cured (at least overnight. if not 48 hours just to be sure) you should have no problems painting acrylics over enamels. In fact, with an acrylic like Vallejo, it will benefit from having a nice undercoat to stick to, as Vallejo doesn't like to stick too well to bare styrene.

acrylic over enamel

Hello --

I'm at the painting stage ( Mr Surfacer primed already) for a Hurricane MkII. Checking my paint inventory I noticed I had  Model Master enamel Middlestone.

I also have 2 types of Dark Earth acrylic, color of eagles (vallejo) &  Polly Scale --

I would think the Middle stone should be used as the base , w/ Dk Earth sprayed over -- any other consider ations? I plan on Azure Blue (acrylic) underside first -- how careful should I be in avoiding the enamel over acrylic?

Thanks

Dog
