RLM 76 Help
Posted by IceDragon122 on Thursday, July 15, 2010 11:17 PM

Hi Everyone!

After a 5 year leave I've finally returned to the hobby!  Only problem is I forgot most of the important things i learned. Anyways my questions is this --> I have primed a 1/48 Bf-109G-6 with Tamiya's Gray Primer. I then airbrushed over that RLM 76 from Model Master Acryl.  Was this a mistake cause after i look at the model and look at the paint in the jar, the painted model looks a tad bit darker than the bottle. I thoroughly covered the model and got a nice finish albeit a little darker than expected. I've never had this problem before, at least i cant recall having this problem.  Can anyone lend their infinite knowledge and vast wisdom?

and just in case, i thin my paints with water and a drop or two of acrylic retarder.

Thx!

-Brian

Paints may turn a little darker shade when dry. I noticed this when I was painting the living room. Anyway, no two aircraft had the same identical shade which was influenced by application method, thinning and weathering. I like mixing Future and flow improver with my acrylics, what a diffence in ab performance!
