Ok. I picked up a Tamiya 1/24 Toyota Supra MKIV model kit I'm going to work on shortly after my MKII and MKIII builds, and I want THIS kit to have black leather interior. I found basic leather acrylic paint in the local hobby store (for military models mostly), but was not able to find anything similar to black leather, and I don't want to use basic flat black because it makes the surface look "plastically".
A Google search turned up a trick where using Testors Dullcoat on gloss paints will dull out more "organically", thus using Dullcoat on a surface coated with gloss black will turn it to a leather sheen, which is exactly what I want. What I want to know is if Testors Dullcoat comes only in spray can, or is there a bottled version of it (I work better with brushing paints than I do spray painting)? Also, some people reported that dullcoat yellows with age. Is this true, and if so, what's the alternative?
