Gunze Mr Color: Thinner ratio
Posted by EBergerud on Sunday, July 18, 2010 2:51 AM

Thought I'd check out all the Gunze noise and bought some Mr. Color bottles. This product is advertised as an acrylic lacquer: can I expect it to act like Tamiya? Anyone have a general suggestion for paint/thinner ratios for airbrushing? Thankee in advance.

Eric

A model boat is much cheaper than a real one and won't sink with you in it.

I haven't used Mr Color (yet) but I believe it behaves quite differently to Tamiya's acrylics.

It requires a lacquer based thinner (DO NOT try to use Tamiya's thinner) and if I recall correctlly, if insufficiently thinned, will spray in strings. Think more thinner and less pressure.
