What's the point?  Everyone knows Iwatas are perfect. 

Actually, Iwatas are obviously very good or they wouldn't be used by so many pros.  But, there are already good reviews out there and I could probably add very little.

Don, you are being too humble to a fault. I am an infrequent modeler and not an artist (AB pro). I found your reviews much more relevant to me than many of the great reviews at airbrush sites. I did not say that yours are better, but definitely more relevant to a modeler. The many close up pictures, breakdown of the AB all served the reader well. I do go to other sites, such as the airbrushtech to collect information on plating finish quality, durability of needle/nozzle etc. Those dedicated users tend to abuse their AB more and more demanding in that regard.

I bought a Badger Patriot 105F for side by side comparison with the Iwata Eclipse HP-CS. I made a decision.

I then bought a Harder & Steenbeck Revolution Silverliner Solo and made my decision.

I keep all 3 AB's and the Iwata is still my main modeling AB. And yes, you will have a lot to add if you review an Iwata. Just my personal opinion.

Exactly, he doesn't talk about what the airbrush says it can do, he assesses each brush with an engineer's eye, and a modeler's sensibilities.

Thanks Bill.  I really try to be brand neutral.  Badger has given me several airbrushes, and there is the temptation to go easy on them.  But I try to stick to facts and things I can measure.  Hopefully, I give enough information that readers can make their own judgment.

I got a nice e-mail from a guy who bought a 250 based on my review.  He wanted something inexpensive that would put out a lot of paint, and he was very happy with it.  That made me feel pretty good.  If someone bought something and thought that I misled them I'd be really bummed.

And I thank you for it! Maintaining your editorial integrity is key to a good reviewer.

One feature that you do now, but haven't been consistent with are the little test drawings with the happy face and the written name of the airbrush. To me, they show just how capable (and similar!) almost every airbrush is for modeling. One of those drawings, and a brief description of how easy or difficult they were to do with that particular brush would be an interesting comparison. You know, in case you're bored one day...

Always recommending quality products for a fair price has always returned good feedback for me. Since you do the same, I think you'll have very few bummed days!

Don, an interesting comparison between the two items. Both are ageless designs, though for the money I think the Paasche is a better deal, if you can get over the weight and chunky size.

I have a Badger 350 clone which works fine as a flood coat, but spraying lines is impossible. The needle is much simpler than the one you have in your review, and not nearly as refined.

Keilau, I think Don would be perfectly willing to do an Iwata review, if someone would be willing to send him one to review.
