Yes, your Gunze Mr Color Thinner will work for both products. Both are quite thick and will definitely require thinning for airbrushing. Can't help with thinning ratios as I've never tried to airbrush either product.

You can clean up Tamiya LSP with denatured alcohol but you will need something stronger for Mr Surfacer. (generic hardware store lacquer thinner will clean up both types)

I've got both Mr. Surfacer 1200 and Tamiya Surface Primer (grey in bottle). I've got Gunze thinner, so I suppose that would work with Mr. Surfacer. Any tips on thinning ratio? What would you cut Tamiya Primer with? Looks a little thick to blow out straight. What would do the job for cleaning the brush for either?
