Lacquer Spray Can
Posted by Dubau on Tuesday, August 17, 2010 12:47 AM

Hay all, I have a spray can of Lacquer and I am going to decan it so I can use in my airbrush. Do I still need to thin it ?

Thanks

Bud

Nope, but let it gas out (sit, uncovered)  for a few hours before you use it.

Primer sprays very well OOC (Out of Can) Warm it up in hot water and shake for at least 1 minute. Test the spray pattern before applying to your model, rough wood works well for this as it has a lot of surface irregularities that a well preforming rattle can will pick out.

It's not just the primer, I have a Maroon lacquer in a can too that I want to decan and spray in my airbrush.

I would rather not spray it right from the can so my 2 lacquer can's I just shake well, decan let sit and don't have to thin it then, right ?

Thanks

Bud
