Tamiya airbrush

I just bought my first air brush and it was a Paasche single action and I love it. I would have to tell you to get that one.

Which Tamiya airbrush is that? They make several.
Are you talking about that Spray Work system that is shown in the new FSM article on buying airbrushes?
I wouldn't buy one of those myself as there are better choices.

I have that airbrush and use it mostly for priming, for other stuff I use the other Tamiya brushes.

CAn't make a comment on the compressor as I haven't got it, but over here they also sell a mains adapter for it.

yeah MikeV thats the one, with the compressor that uses the RC car battery. maybe I will look at the Paasche line, most people on here that have them or had them in the past say good things about them.

There are so many good double-action airbrushes that it's hard to recommend a single one. I would say any from Badger, Iwata, or Paasche will suit you fine.

With looking to purchasing your first airbrush, what ever you do take your time and research many different types to determine if what your learning about various ones comes the closest to suiting your individual needs...ie; autos, sci-fi, large or small aircraft, etc. Also take in to account the volume or quanity of paint you anticipate spraying for your model, ie.. large rc car - a bottle or bottom-feed sing-action airbrush airbrush like the Paasche VL or Paasche-H may be best in this instance. If your models will require multi-color camo paint jobs with intricate color separation lines and other small detailing -a gravity feed double-action airbrush like the Iwata Revolution HP-CR, Eclipse HP-CS or Omni series gravity feed types may be best suited...you get my drift right? Just do your homework, visit the manufactuers websites and continue to ask questions, take notes and compare, compare, compare. A personal recommendation on an inexpensive, high-quality, excellent performing airbrush would be the Iwata Revolution I mentioned above. It's a double-action, gravity-feed airbrush great for detailing as well as wide or braoud area coverage such as autos, RC bodies etc. The Revolution is very easy to clean and it's larger .5mm nozzle tip is well suited for our thicker viscosity hobby enamels and acrylics.
