you got the right materials to do the wash with my friend, now you need to let the enamel paint cure for atleast 3 to 4 days before applying the gloss coat. once you apply the gloss coat, let it dry, then apply your wash. i read in the FSM that you want your wash to resemble strong coffee. put a bee bee size drop of oil in the about a quarter oz. of thinner. you have to keep stirring the mixture because the oil will settle to the bottom very quickly. i apply my washes with a fine tipped brush. i load the brush, touch it against the corner intersection of four panels, and capillary action does the rest.

A couple of questions here for anyone. Im having a small problem with my washes turning out good. What paint to thinner ratio is good? Like how many drops of paint, to the same for the thinner. What type of thinner?
I usually use mineral spirits, and whats the best way to apply it?

Heres what I use. I use testors enamels for most of my painting, but I do have Winsor and Newton oils I usually use for my washes.

Thanks everyone in advance
