i am in the market for an inexpensive air compressor. Does anyone have any suggestions ? I was hoping to spend less than 60 dollars.
I think Harbor Freight has one for right around $60. Can't speak to how good it is or isn't, though...

I bought a small 1 gallon compressor from my local building supply store (Menards). There are a number of these "portable" small compressors. The weekend I bought mine it was on sale for fifty bucks. Only downside is it sure is noisy. I brought down a set of those big headphones that completely cover the ears, and a converter plug that converts them to fit the headphone jack on the radio I keep in my shop. I listen to radio while I airbrush :-)

It's a 3 gallon 100 psi oiless pancake model for $39.99. Item#95275.
Too many models to build, not enough time in a lifetime!!
Harbor Freight is currently printing a coupon for a $74.99 compressor for $39.00 !!! It is a Central Pneumatics brand, 3Gallon - 100 psi oiless pancake compressor. I do not own one but I have been told by a reliable source that it works great. Only drawback is that it is a little bit loud when it is filling the tank. A 3 gallon tank being used at 15 - 20 psi should not kick on all that often. I hope this is helpfull.
