I use an Olfa circle cutter. I've also been known to use a circle template but it's very hard to do and I avoid it if at all possible. The blade tends to want to cut into the template that's trying to guide it.

I also use a Circle/Compaqss cutter. You can find them in most arts-supply stores and there are also ones used for cutting clothes by quilters, etc.,

Here's a page describing how to do it with a compass cutter:

that or stick an exacto blade where the pencil would be in a regular compass. But the compass cutter will yield better results.

Do a Google search for "compass cutter". Been meaning to pick one up myself for wheel masks.

How to cut circles in masking tape

Hi,

I would like to try spray painting aircraft markings and I need a tool that can cut different size circles in masking tape.

Is there such a tool or how would you go about doing it?

Thanks,

Ted.
