I have used Future floor polish on acrylics, enamels and lacquers with no adverse effects.

Here is a picture of a resin model I finished about six months ago. The paint is enamel and the coating is many layers of Future Floor Wax applied with an ear swab. Between some of the Future layers I did polish with 0000 steel wool. I don't know how well the jpeg picture will look but the model is shiny.

My advise to you is to always test new painting or washing techniques on a old “hulk” model thats been prepared in a similar manner as your "production" model. (Or you can just buy a sheet of styrene, or a $5 dollar snap together kit). Nothing is worse then testing (and failing) a new technique on a model that you’ve already invested many hours in.

You’ll find tons of stuff on this forum regarding the use of Future. But, from my experience, there are also many variables that cannot be covered in a tutorial. (Your personal spraying technique, environmental conditions, temperature, humidity, airbrush performance, compressor performance, PSI, etc.)

Good Luck

Nope, I put Future over enamels all the time, no problem at all.

thnks for the link.
but i have some questions.

what's this i hear about having to need an acrylic base coat if i want to use Future?

does Future wreck the base coating if it is not acrylic?

i mean, if i apply Future over enamel and/ or Lacquer base coats, will Future ruin these base coats?

what kind of Future polish gloss does everyone uses?
it says floor wax, but does it really protect the paint like a topcoat?

i haver great things about this stuff. but i still haven't seen any pictures of the finish products. does anyonw know of a site that shows this? i here Swanny knows alot about this stuff. i can't seem to find his tutorial.

does it take away from an already glossy surface? i mean, if i were to spray future over alclad metal paints? or even gloss paints? would future flatten the finish? cause, i have the gunze gloss topcoat, and it doesn't have a glossy surface. at least not as good as gloss paint itself.

and how many differnt futures are out there? i mean i hear about gloss and crystal clear. and stuff. but not sure what kind of future is the best one for gloss protective coat.
