I just won an auction ebay for a badger 150 AB and the badger 80 II air compressor for 54$ plus s/h. I feel like i got a good deal. im not exactly sure on how good the products are, but being my first AB i think it will be great to learn with and maybe buy something better in the future. does anybody else have any of these products and if so what do you think of them?

I have a friend that swears by his 150 and he does great work even at very small scales. I'd say you got a good deal if it's in good condition. I'd clean it really well first though.

from the pictures it appers to be in good condition, the description said it was in good condition and used only a few times. So I dont anticipate to have any problems with it. Being new to the whole airbrush thing, how should I clean the airbrush. Also included in the auction was the manual for the AB so im sure it says in there but i just thought I would ask.

You got a steal on that! You can use lacquer tinner with a pipe cleaner. Make sure you have very good ventilation when using lacquer thinner.

What kind of paint are you planning on spraying?

An excellent deal. I have had a Badger 150 for over 12 years and love it. I have recently purchased another Badger (a 360 this time) but have not fully retired the 150. I would suggest having at least two sets of tips/needles for it; an XF or extra fine set and an IL set which translates as a medium. With these two tip/needle set you can paint virtually anything you care to. For parts and service go to http://badgerairbrush.com/

so i finally got my AB in the mail today, I plan on picking up some laquer thinner so I can give it a clean. When doing so should I disassemble the whole thing and clean all the parts? For the most part I will be spraying acrylics and enamels, but I may try my hand with some lacquers later down the road.

i would be a good idea to take it apart just to ensure that it fully clean before you use it.
