I'm not sure if my local shop stocks Valejo.................never tried them. I find I can get a pretty good finish with Tamaiya and on larger areas the brush marks tend to dissapear................. I've built a few motorbikes and even with Gloss finishes I do pretty well.
But I'll give the Valejo a go if I can find some.

I know you stated you like the Tamyia acrylics paints, but if you are hand brushing have you thought about using Vallejo paints? If you can get them, they brush very well...at least I have found they do. I have never had good luck brushing the Taymia stuff, but Humbrol enamels work well to. But I guess like me you go with what you either have or can get.

I'd like to have a go at airbrushing but at the moment I'm still on brushes...................... Maybe when I get our spare room back (stupid number one son is back after splitting with his equally stupid girlfriend) .............. I'll invest in some kit.
I am loving the Tamiya acrylics for airbrushing... but matching Luftwaffe colours isn't high on their list!
