Testors rattle can Dullcote over Krylon Crystal Clear acrylic?
Posted by NJJK on Sunday, November 21, 2010 11:13 PM

Painted my latest kit with Model Master enamels then cleared with Krylon Crystal clear acrylic, applied decals, and now I'm going to give it another coat of the Krylon before washing the panel lines. My question is-after washing the panel lines can I spray Testors Dullcote over the Krylon or will they react with each other? Should I just use the Krylon Crystal matte acrylic? Also, I have three options for the wash - artist's oils, artist's acrylics, and Promodeller wash. Which would you recommend? Thanks for looking!

I wouldn't mix 'em...Testors also makes a gloss coat that maybe you should use in the future if you plan on finsihing with Testors dullcoat...IMO oils makes the best washes...I use a lot of raw umber for washes/filters...
