problem spraying metalizer with 105 Patriot
Posted by wjbwjb29 on Saturday, November 27, 2010 2:12 PM

Hello;

I am having trouble with the 105 Patriot clogging when spraying SNJ Metalizer. It has the fine needle so I believe that is my problem. The paint collects in the bowl as a cloppy mess. Does anyone know of a medium needle for this brush. I thought maybe thinning the paint would help but its supposed to be airbrush ready.

Any help would be appreaciated.

The Patriot will accept the 155 Anthem needle.  You would need the needle, tip, and medium regulator.  You can see the part numbers on this page.  I've never used SNJ, but I think others have sprayed it with needles finer than the Patriot.

Thanks for the info. If others sprayed it with finer needles maybe it has a short shelf life. I dont understand why it would turn to goo in the bowl.

Maybe Gerald at Hawkeye Hobbies will see this and answer.  It's his product.  Or, send him a pm.

Thanks Maybe as the level of the bottle goes down the solvent lessens.  The 2 times this has happened the bottles were less than half full. the first time it was with my VL and know with the 105 Patriot. Don I tryed to get to your site yesterday and today and it will not load is it down.

Yes, it is.  A transformer blew up at the data center and caused a power outage.  It's been down since Thanksgiving.  They claim they are working on it.  Hopefully, I won't have to re-upload everything.
