Wot Phil H said!

I've used this recipe & it does work.

One gotcha is getting the mix right twice, so mix more than you think you need!

I mixed enough for a satin finish & sprayed away on a small plane, sometimes putting what I thought was too much on, but it 'self-levels' IF you are carefull.

Don't try to cover ehe entire plane in one go, eg, do top, then let set off a bit, then do the sides, then the underneath.

& ALWAYS use a MASK & Ventilate well, got a spray booth?

Matt Swan's article The Complete Future gives mix ratios for Future and Tamiya X-21 Flat Base.

I don't see any reason why it wouldn't be possible to brush-paint the mixture. Be aware that it may soften an acrylic base coat though. If in doubt, test on something expendable before doing it on a live build.

Future+Tamiya Flat Base

Well, i have had my last disaster with spray cans...anyway, ive decided to move everything to airbrushing or just brushing. I use future as a gloss coat for my models, put on with a large brush. When you want to make Future go flat, i have read about using Tamiya Flat base mixed in with it. What is the recommended ratio future to base with this? Also, is it possible to brush the mixture on like you can with future by itself?
