Opinion on Brush needed.

I am thinking of bidding on this airbrush on eBay and I wanted to get some of your opinions on whether its a good deal and if the airbrush is reasonably good.  Thanks for your time.

The Badger 150 is a good general purpose airbrush.  That particular kit looks a little beat up.  You could buy the same thing brand new at Coast Airbrush for $93, or without the wooden box for $80.

I noticed it was a bit beat up, but I am on a very tight budget.  I can only use my christmas money for it so I can't go over $45.  And then I still need to worry about a compressor after GroundHogs day which is also my Bday.  I am going to watch it and see what the price is by the end of the auction.  If it were any brush other than a badger, I would be worried, but they stand behind their products.  I had wanted an anthem 155, but it was out of the christmas budget this year.

If this is your first airbrush, I would save up until I could buy a new one.  Otherwise, if you have problems, you won't know whether it's you or the brush.  With an obviously well used airbrush, Badger would probably charge you for repairs, at least for the cost of the parts.

In fact, I wouldn't get an airbrush until I had the money for it and a compressor.

Good point, I will hold off until I can take care of both.

Check price before you jump. You can get a new Badger 150 from the Badger garage sale for $35.20. But they don't have stock all the time. You need to check occasionally.

For your $45 budget, you may also consider the  Neo for Iwata at Hobby Lobby. It is $38 with their 40% off coupon.

Thanks for the info!  I notice now they have a Vega 200 on sale for $41.  Have you ever used one of those?  I have heard different things about them.
