black+gloss gull gray=dark gull grey?

Im snowed in and my model calls for  dark gull grey. i was thinking maybe a 90:10 mix with black being the ten, any advice? thanks

I'd start with a lot less black and creep up on what you want, drop by drop.  I'd also try a tiny bit of blue.  But experimenting this way can ruin paint, so only do it if you have sufficient white and black, or you'll be back in the same boat, but waiting to get out for grey, white AND black!

Is it OK to mix gloss and flat paint?  I thought the two would react negatively.  Could you make semi-gloss black by mixing gloss and flat together?
