Sparrowhyperion

Hi.

Thanks for the help.  I finally have the new regulator/gauge/moisture trap on the compressor.  I had to get a 4" 1/4" Nipple extension to allow the moisture trap on the new regulator to clear the tank on the compressor.  The old regulator was a bit of a chore to get off, but finally unscrewed.  I used teflon tape on both ends of the extension from the tank pressure gauge/pressure release valve to the output regulator.  I got a nice tight fit.  You were right on the hose.  I had to send it back and order a new one which will hopefully show up sometime next week  I think all I need now is the 1/4" male to male connector to attach the 2/4 inch end of the new hose to the 1/4inch female that I believe the hose comes with on the compressor side.  I am trying to avoid using the red hose since it is so long and would require more connections to possibly leak. lol

Again, thanks for the help.

If you have a Harbor Freight or other hardware store nearby, you can go shop for exactly what you need. See the HF examples. Take some picture of it when you are done. Good luck.

Hi folks.  Well, I have my Anthem, I have my compressor, I have my moisture trap, I have my hose.  What I don't have is a harmonious meeting of all of them.

I hope that you read my earlier post and understand what I said. If you get the right parts. It is a snap to connect everything together. You have a small twist here and there because you tried to do the switch and mix. Let's get one thing at a time.

I hope that you read my earlier post and understand what I said. If you get the right parts. It is a snap to connect everything together. You have a small twist here and there because you tried to do the switch and mix. Let's get one thing at a time.

Start with the compressor. It gets a "1/4" NPT quick disconnect female" in the output.

I have a tool shop brand 1/3 HP 2 Gallon compressor which is rated for up to 100psi. With a regulator already included on it with some kind of quick release connector.

And the hoses...  The orange one came with the compressor, the other is a badger  air hose with their small connector and a larger one on the other end which is where my problem is mostly.  They also threw in a quick release connector for it as well.

In the ideal world, you should get a "male 1/4" NPT quick disconnect" on one end of the yellow hose which should allow you to plug it right onto the compressor female. You did not show what you got with your compressor. Some cheap supplier does not care. It is possible that you get 1/4" female threads on both end of the orange hose. In that case, you need to buy a 1/4" male quick disconnect yourself. Make sure the thread is female. If these terms sound like Greek to you, go to a hardware store for help.

Screw one end of the orange hose to the male disconnect and now you can plug it onto the compressor.

You have "1/4" NPT male thread" at both the in and the out of your regulator/filter. I am guessing that your orange hose still has a "1/4" NPT male thread" on the open end. You need a male to male adaptor. The size is 1/4" NPT at both ends. Again, you can find it at most hardware store.  Ask for help if you need to. Now you have connect the orange hose to the input of the regulator/filter and ready to go the next step.

Here is a close up of the connectors on the Badger hose.

The brass color end of the Badger hose should be 1/4" NPT female and connects to the regulator/filter directly.

Disconnect the Badger hose quick disconnect (the silver color end). The free piece should screw onto your Badger 155 directly. If not, it is a chance that the seller send you an industrial standard Iwata type quick disconnect instead of a Badger disconnect. Contact their customer service to get the right one should that be the case. It should not happen and always does.

Ok here is the question since I am so confused at this point, could someone tell me what adapter(s) I need to hook these up in the best way possible?

Okay I have an anthem 155 Airbrush

Thanks for any help..

Rich

I cannot tell you what exact adaptors you need until you tell me what connectors are on the stuffs that you already got. I took a wild guess above. Hope that it helps. Good luck.

Take a trip down to your local hardware store...True Value or Ace...take along the ends you want to adapt to each other...the adapter will be found in the plumbing area or in the tool department near the compressor and pneumatic tools. A couple of bucks and you'll be set. If you want quick connects, that will cost more.
